• It's a blast from the past.
• It's a dive bar. Not that that's bad.

“Drank about a millions gallons of beer at that joint back in the day (early to mid 80s). Glad to see it's still going'.”

• Friendly staff.
• Really expensive cheap food.

“I remembered the Garland House as a great restaurant from years back and was very excited to take my girlfriend, but we were very disappointed. This was a second chance for the Garland House, we were recently there 3 weeks ago and had a bad dinner, but I kept telling her it was a fluke and we had to give it a second chance. Needless to say we will not be returning. The staff is very friendly; however the food is not so good. I ordered a fillet mignon and my girlfriend had the spaghetti and meatballs. I ordered a medium rare fillet and I received a well done fillet, so well done they managed to dry out the best piece of beef available. Now mind you I had the same problem 3 weeks ago with the prime rib, over cooked and arrives cold. The chefs at the garland house do not know how to cook to order. I was very disappointed, and took home a treat for my cats, yes they made me pay for something I took one bite out of. The meatballs my girlfriend had were those frozen ones you can buy at Sam's Club, you know the ones! Would someone please open a good restaurant in Brockport!”

• Cheesy gordita crunch.
• Couldn't find the bathroom.

“I took my girlfriend on a date to this restaurant. It was very romantic. We ate burritos until we were stuffed. The food is great. Try the cheesy gordita crunch!”

• Service was excellent, very friendly, remembered all requests.
• Nothing.

“I loved the rest, everyone was friendly. We went there on a sat evening, had reservations, came in a couple minutes early, sat at the bar, had a drink and then were seated right away. We will definitely, be back.”

• Reasonable prices.
• Food, service and atmosphere were less than tolerable. Even for the price.

“I have to admit that this was the first overall bad experience that Ive had at this establishment, but it was really quite awful. The atmosphere has always been horrible (i.e. Carpets that resemble the floor of unkempt movie theaters, complete with mysteriously sticky substances; cramped seating; borderline clean booths with decidedly unclean walls and decor; etc.) But this time the one saving grace, the tasty food, was absent. Potato skins overcooked. Curly fries overcook. Sandwiches lacking in substance (I got the bread and the condiment, but where's the meat? What I found had questionable parts) and quality. And the service today? You shouldn't have to ask for the food and the check.”
