• Love the marsala and convenient location.
• The decor.

“I love dining out and prefer dining at local restaurants. I typically dine at La Scala for lunch because they serve nice sized portions. The food is fresh and they make a great marsala sauce. The only thing I might say is the dining room leaves a lot to be desired in the decor. It's very plain and brightly lit. which isn't in keeping with the menu or the wait staff. I would still recommend La Scala, however, because most importantly the food is good.”

• The owner and staff mad us really welcome.
• Too far away from my home in England.

“A real gem, eat your heart out New York City. 18000 + restaurants in New York, but they can't hold a candle to this one. If only I lived nearer, I would be camping out at this place.”

• The bus girl did a really good job.
• Everything else.

“Huge disappointment. I had seen good reviews which is why I went there. The brunch was mediocre. They added a 20% gratuity to a party of four for a buffet which is unheard of- and particularly upsetting since we saw our waitress twice - and excused it by saying that they were there since 6:30 am to set up, that's how it works in a restaurant- you can't add gratuity because you got to work on time. I was pathetic.”

• Tuna, steak, chicken scalp, Tuscan salad, the wine list.
• I eventually had to go home.

“Never a bad meal. Awesome apps. Cajun calamari was a real hit and the shrimp were huge! Duck quesadilla was perfect for the real duck lover! Perfect atmosphere for intimacy to small or large parties. A hometown place where you know everyone or will easily feel like you do. From mark to Charlie everyone is welcome.”

• Easy access to 684. good bar.
• Despite decent recommendations online, the food was awful.

“We had decent white wines for the price: Australian sauvignon blanc $32 and a cake bread s.b $45 but the food was very mediocre at best. The calamari over linguini was soggy and its temperature told us it was ready 20 minutes before everything else. Salads were OK. The duck quesadillas were bad. Small bits of overcooked duck in a soggy quesadilla. It was served with a sour cream that was almost in liquid form. The chef overcooked our friend's steak so bad and my rare tuna was a little chewy. To top it off, the lava chocolate cake had no lava. It was a stale piece of fudge heated up. I'm not usually so tough on restaurants but there was really nothing to recommend. Even our waitress seemed flustered. She had a healthy sweat going and there were all of 6 tables going on the main floor. Avoid this place for sure.”
