“La Posta restaurant in Old Mesilla, NM is by far the finest Mexican food restaurant I have found anywhere. Their creamy green Chile con queso, served with fresh corn tortillas is head and shoulders above any Mexican appetizer I have ever eaten. For food, atmosphere and service, I rate La Posta a solid nine.”

  • Ceviche was very well presented.
  • Out of the specialty drink mix on a Monday at lunch time!

“On a recommendation from a local business we went for the "Green Chili Vodka Martini" problem was they were out of the mix! Specialty drink and no mix? Bad. Food was above mediocre but not exceptional. Ceviche was quite good. Would not go back just for the drink. If in the area there are several other choices.”

  • The red chili.
  • The wait.

“Best red chili I have ever eaten. We are new Mexicans and are very picky about our chili. And it is by far, the best I have ever eaten. Great service. I love the birds.”

“Meson de Mesilla was a wonderful experience for me. While the rooms were average, the restaurant and service were impeccable. Very friendly staff that goes above and beyond the call of duty in order to make your stay a memorable one. The food was fantastic and I LOVED the great service! ”
