• Very pretty bar area.
• The food was not that great.

“The food was ok. Nothing to write home about. It tastes like every other fast paced Italian restaurant. I think the food at that other little Italian joint around the corner was 100 times better. The one on Quimby street. I will probably not go back to Ferraras.”

• Food, location, convinces.
• Pricing, ambiance, service, service, service.

“This restaurant provided me with at least one thing, one of the worst experiences I have ever had. I had a girl friends bridal shower here and it was definitely one experience I wish we would not have had. In terms of food, it was wonderful, ambiance was a little less then desired, but the real issue was the service. ”

• Exterior does not do this restaurant justice, easily missed.

“This is one of the greatest dining experiences I have ever had. I never like to talk about where I have been in reviews such as this because it comes off as boastful but it is important to mention it here to illustrate my first comment. I have been to the great places of NYC, Rome, London, and most importantly Paris. To find a restaurant of this caliber in the middle of Westfield NJ is incredible. This is the "total package". From the minute you walk in and are greeted until you are escorted to the door and bid a due at the end of your evening by the owners, Chez Catherine offers a wonderful time. The food is traditional French favorites made with the best ingredients and the wine service is wonderful. A bottle of wine is always nice but instead, ask to have wine by the glass paired with your food, no single bottle can match the perfect pairings the owner recommends. Make it an evening and plan on staying for several hours, you won't be rushed off.”
