“This was the only Indian Cuisine we found in ocean county. The food was very good. We really liked it. The service was excellent. It was like coming home for dinner. The owners/staff was very respectful and made sure with every customer that they were satisfied with their meal. Mango Lassi was really good too. We went their for two meals and it was great. Hope you have fun too.”

- Great service.
- Food and Atmosphere.
“The servers are great and very helpful people! You can tell they work hard and try their best to make Rivoli's an enjoyable experience. The food is another story. Rivoli's is about quantity not quality. You have huge portions of food that are not good. The sauce is disgusting and not fresh, the bread is dry, the seafood is horrific, the atmosphere is uncomfortable due to the owners terrible attitude, the restroom is too tiny and dirty, the desserts are wonderful, but way to high priced. My Rivoli's experience was not worth my money or the tasteless huge "doggie bag" of fake Italian food I went home with..”

- French fries and coke.
- Everything else.
“Because of my job, I've traveled most of my adult life and have eaten in many restaurants good and bad. But in all these years, I finally found the worst restaurant ever. I ordered a $23.00 porthouse steak dinner. It came with hair in my salad, stale rolls, and the steak was 70% grissle, fat and bone, and 30% meat. I asked nicely if I could have 2 fresh rolls and was brought 2 more stale ones. Didn't anyone care to check the replacements? But what upset me more than all of this was when our waitress came to the table and told us that since the salad was part of the $23 steak dinner, it was complimentary and couldn't be refunded. I wasn't trying to get a free meal, just one good $23 steak dinner. Hey, how about a fresh 'hairless' salad?? One wasn't even offered. But in all fairness the French fries and coke were good enough to eat.”

“When you go to Toms River, don't drink the water, but most importantly, do not eat at the Old Time Tavern. I had been going to the Old Time Tavern for most of my adult life; the prime rib was always superb. I had not been there in 10 years, so Sunday I brought my family there for dinner, while we were traveling through the area, and we had a meal, that for everyone, including the kids was something that could otherwise be found in a can of Alpo Dog Food. My prime rib was nasty, it tasted nasty, it looked nasty and it was very nasty. Served with soapy mashed potatoes and vegetables, some of which were overcooked and some of which were not cooked at all. It was putrid. My wife had some kind of Chicken Bruchetta, which was disgusting and served on spinach. It looked like someone poured chicken soup on a mangy chicken breast, which I can tell was older than our five year old. My son, age 10, had some fried macaroni and cheese, which when you opened the fried crust, would leak vegetable oil from the innards of the elbow noodles, even that salad and bread were nasty and stale. To top it off, desert was of an institutional quality, in little dishes that one might encounter at the cafeteria at the local hospital, or some elementary school lunchroom served out of a can. They make it all inclusive fruit bowl, soup, salad, coffee and the prison desert to attract the wheelchair and above 60 crowd from the surrounding seizure villages. I used to really like the restaurant but boy what a disappointment. I should have known when I saw the parking lot empty, the handicapped spots all filled, and a bunch of grey panthers wearing hats, that I was better off down the road at White Castle.”
