• Very reasonable prices and tasty food.
• Not too romantic, but it is comfortable.

“My wife and I go there often. The chef is friendly and very talented. We love the veal chops. I am starving-my wife is still getting ready. It is a BYOB, which is fine, because I like my own wine.”

• Closeness of tables.

“I love Max¿s. The food is awesome - especially for the price. It is quaint and charming - not a large places it that's what you are looking for. Pictures of the owner's family line the walls. A touch of true Italy! The chef himself always comes out to say hello! The BYOB aspect is superb! You can bring the wine you want and a value instead of paying marked up restaurant prices. I have been here with friends, dates, business colleagues, etc. And no one has ever gone away unhappy. p.s. ”

• The food! It was absolutely sensational.
• They could play some light music but no other complaints I can think of

“From what I know, the restaurant changed owners recently. The food is simply amazing and well presented. It is a BYOB (wine, actually) little restaurant near downtown Tenably. My friend and I had dinner recently at Cafe . Although the restaurant is small, the atmosphere is relaxed. The server was very friendly and informative of the menu. I decided on the Half-Roasted Free-Range Chicken au Jus, and my friend ordered the Pork Chops with Caramelized apple and string beans. The food came surprisingly quickly and was very well presented. The food was delicious - the chicken was tender and very flavorful, the mashed potatoes tasted perfect, and the vegetables were crisp. Overall, I'd give it an 8.5. My friend's Pork Chops were absolutely sensational, however. They looked so good I had to try some of his. The pork chops were very tender and flavorful, cooked and seasoned just right. The caramelized sweet apples (I thought they were potatoes) strike a perfect contrast with the meat, and the string beans were well seasoned as well. He and I both agree that it deserves a 10. The bill came to about $42 before tip including soda. There is also a wine store around the corner, which I noticed some customers opted for. Overall, it was well worth the money. ”
