• Food, service, prices.
• Not closer to Raleigh.

“First they do now have smoking and non-smoking sections and they are completely separated. I asked the owner about the type of beef they serve after reading another review and it is all choice or better. They serve Sterling Silver Filet Mignon and black Angus rib eye. I don't find it dark at all, its not full of fluorescent lights but who wants that when they are trying to have a nice dinner. It is a beautiful, rustic log cabin. The staff is extremely attentive and personable. The prices are better than any I can find in Raleigh as is the food. If you haven't been you really need to go and experience this place for yourself!”

• Rustic atmosphere.
• Smoky, beef not best cuts.

“The restaurant is dark, which gives it a rustic feel. Smoking and non-smoking tables are not separated, so we were right next to heavy smokers despite asking for non-smoking. I've eaten there twice and had less than prime cuts of beef both times. Salad bar is good, but not great. .”

• Fresh food, great service, reasonable prices! And save room for dessert!
• I can't eat there every nightglow.

“Middleburg is so unique. The building is an old log cabin; it¿s rustic but elegant and romantic at the same time. You could picture it in the mountains somewhere. The lighting is warm and cozy, the waitresses treat you like they have known you their entire lives, the salad bar are so fresh and delicious, and the steaks are out of this world! Its great for a romantic dinner, family night, they've got private rooms for parties, and a fire place to enjoy. For my husband and me, we couldn't pick a better place to have a great dinner together.”

• Salad bar, unique.
• Too dark.

“Very rustic atmosphere, but kind of dark inside. Food was good, but the beef wasn't as good as some prime steak houses offer. Salad bar was good. You might like the atmosphere better if you like log houses - I found it quaint but too dark.”
