• It has such a local feel!
• They close at 9:30 pm.

“They have great food, with great prices 10 cent large shrimp and 25 cent wings (happy hour). Staff is great! Staff makes homemade soups and deserts that are to die for! You could call them mo-made ha ha! (I know but I had to), you will wake up the next day wanting more.”

• Lots of pictures to look at.
• Bad food, bad service.

“I was shocked by the whole experience. The food was terrible, the service was non-existent, and my whole family left hungry. My six year old asked me before we left was that everything they were bringing him to eat. The sad thing was that I had read reviews and was expecting so much more.”

• Atmosphere; staff.
• Food only ok.

“Dance floor with old rock music playing so you can get up and dance. We did so they gave us a free bumper sticker "I danced at big Al's". Coke memorabilia everywhere. Friendly staff and management. But food was only average and value probably typical for tourist trap. Good tourist place. We were there off season. Probably packed in the summer. You have to exit through the gift shop.”

• The atmosphere was amazing, the food was phenomenal and did I mention the food was the best.
• I truly have nothing negative to say.

“Big Al's Soda Fountain was and will always get my patronage while I'm in Manteo, N.C. I love the feeling I get when I enter the establishment. The food was phenomenal and unforgettable. Please, Do Not ever close down, I will be crushed. Thanks for being creative, and having the idea to open up.
