“I enjoy my night at the restaurant. I came from California to jersey on vacation, and I went on the net and look for Spanish restaurant and Karini came up, thats why I went there. Everything was good.”

• Great food and service for a reasonable price.
• Long waits on Saturdays.

“I have been a fan for years. The food and service (once seated) have been consistently excellent. The long wait is a testament to this. If you go on a Saturday, go early (before 6:00).”

• Food and sangria are excellent.
• Wait time and service has something to be desired.

“I was at the Portuguese manor on Saturday October 20th. We were a party of 4 arriving at 7pm.we were told it was a 45 minute wait. We did not sit at our table until close to 9:30pm! I feel the hostess knows this and just tells people less time so they hang around and wait. That's awful customer service as far as Im concerned. When we finally sat down it took a while for bread and water. The service was a little slow. The food was excellent. I think the waiting experience would definitely make me think twice of going there again.”

• The only positive is sitting outdoors so you do not smell the stench coming from the bathrooms!
• Poor service, greasy food, rude people.

“We have been going to The Armory for 15yrs since the Seabra's took ownership. I am so upset over the downhill spiral of one of our most favorite restaurants! The service was absolutely terrible. We were seated and the waiter took the order for a pitcher of Sangria. He brings us the pitcher and did not bring glasses until we called over another waiter. The place was not busy - there were only 2 other tables. It took over 15 minutes until another waiter came to take our order. The salad bar (which used to be one of the best ever) was soggy lettuce, the palest tomatoes. The tuna tasted sour and was inedible. Nothing else was even worth putting on the plate. For appetizers, the chorizos were almost raw and very greasy. The calamari was so soggy and also inedible. Dinner: almost a 1-15 minutes before our dinner came! No bread brought out. Salmon special was completely dried out & my husband's chicken was raw. The only thing good was the sangria.”

“The restaurant is located in an undesirable area with poor parking. There is a small lot on the side of the restaurant. You enter through the bar and then enter the cramped dining area. The service is very good and at first so is the food. I had the veal served with rice and chips. The veal which should be very tender was like shoe leather and the portion size could fill a thimble. There was plenty of rice and chips but it was hard to find the veal. Three hours after the meal I had a bad case of diarrhea so the food handling is not the best. So, this will be my first and last visit to the Portuguese Manor. Also, it is very loud in the restaurant; you almost have to yell to be heard.”
