Penn Pub

  • Our waitress.
  • Everything else.

“If you enjoy 1. Poor service, 2. Interacting with ignorant hostesses, 3. Mediocre food and 4. Spending lots of cash then this is definitely the place for you. I attended this restaurant with family for dinner. I should have noticed the early warning signs when I arrived at the place and noticed that the outside of the restaurant was warned and drab, but I thought I would give it a chance. As I entered into the restaurant, my initial impression of the place (this place is a dive) didn't change. I informed the hostess that most of our party had arrived and I asked if we could be seated. She seemed as though she was annoyed by me asking her questions and I felt as though she very rudely informed me that our entire party had to be present before we could be seated, (I had nothing against their policy, but I was very offended by the attitude that she projected in her response). Next, we were seated at our table that was too small for our party and initially it seemed as though the staff didn't want to provide more space to our party, but eventually we were given another table. (We all thought we would have been able to eat together, but I guess they thought our party wasn't worth the hassle.) The highlight of the evening was our waitress. She was extremely prompt and polite. The food is just okay for the price. If you want to have a really good steak and nice atmosphere, then I would suggest Ruth Chris in Center City. In summary, if you are from Philly, then don't waste the toll coming over the bridge to this place. If you do live in the area, don't waste the gas going to this place, I would implore you to find another restaurant. There are plenty of real restaurants in downtown Center City that are so, so much better. Well, I have to go now to enjoy my Big Mac. (I guess you can tell how I like the food.)”

Peking Gourmet Chinese Restaurant
Jul 24, 2007 by John from Delran, NJ
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10
Food:[10] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[9]

  • Everything but the distance from my home.
  • It is far from my home.

“Best Chinese in South Jersey. Ask for Judy as your waitress and you will surely be spoiled. The kitchen is immaculate. The food is served hot and fresh. Their portions and presentations are worth twice the price. They do local delivery, but I prefer to eat in. Located at the corner of Route 130 and Cove Road in Pennsauken, New Jersey. It is about half way between the Ben Franklin and Betsy Ross bridges.”

Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2
Food:[10] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • For 10 years the food and service has been great.
  • If you don't want to smell smoke with your you wont be served.

“My wife and I came to your restaurant on Wednesday march 8:06 at 7:15pm my birthday by the way. We decided to come to dinner for the prime rib after my wife purchased a strawberry shortcake. We asked to be seated in the no smoking area, the gentlemen sat us opposite the dinning room, someone was smoking over there was very strong so I asked to be moved to the dinning room. After that we were not served. We left at 7:43 everyone was standing around cash register no one said a word. ”
