- Waitresses are friendly.
- Food is bland and over-priced.
“This place has been cosmetically updated on the outside but the inside looks perpetually dirty. The food is bland and the breakfasts are greasy and often undercooked. The prices are on the high side for what you get, you can find much better food and atmosphere at the same price at other places around town. ”

- Food, value.
- No dislikes.
“Excellent place in this small college town. We are from suburban NJ where there are restaurants a plenty but when we visit our daughter at Mansfield University we try to stop at the Wrens Nest. Food is quite good, atmosphere is fine, friendly staff and very reasonable compared to what we would pay in NJ for similar.
College so also nice too for someone looking for a safe place to send their kids. ”

- The filet was of the highest grade, and cooked to perfection!
- Limited dessert selection.
“Overall, excellent dining experience. The Filet is out of this world and the chef actually prepares it exactly how you request. The salad was a tasty mixed and very fresh variety of standard and exotic greens, and the dressing was delicious. The rolls are hot and delightfully crusty. Even the fresh brewed ice tea was truly fresh, bold and flavorful. The crab cakes were loaded with lump crabmeat and perfectly seasoned. The bacon-wrapped BBQ Shrimp was delicious and had a great presentation. Main course presentation was nothing spectacular, but fortunately, the size and quality of the filet overshadowed that minor shortcoming. There was a comfortable yet upscale feeling with good service. If you are from the area, it truly is one of the best around. Prices are reasonable for what you get, high for the area but well worth it once you have enjoyed the whole meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

- Menu selection.
- Not for anyone in a hurry or with small children.
“Beautifully decorated, some rooms are warm and romantic, the porch is a beautiful and great for the family or larger groups. As you walk from the parking lot you will pass the old oak tree complete with the original farmhouse swing. Love the food, my husband and I have been eating there for the past year. Always consistent. I highly recommend the stop, it will be well worthwhile. ”
