• Good food and good value.
• Service/staff can be spotty. Some waiters/waitresses hard to understand due to heavy accents at times.

“This was worth my time and travel efforts of approximately 25 minutes from Bridgewater (NJ) to New Providence. I've been going to Chen's for over 10 years and it always has consistently good food. Service really depends on your waiter/waitress, some are great and some are average - some you can't even understand due to heavy accents. You'd never expect such a great Chinese food dining experience in a street mall but, Chen's was worth your time and effort.”

• Good food. Good value. Friendly service.
• No reservations for.

“Good food and a good dollar (or peso) value. The wait staff is friendly and efficient. The reason for the service rating of 3 is that while they will not take reservations for any small party (they did not say at what point a party is large enough to warrant a reservation), they do not even take your name when your party arrives. Upon arrival, you are asked how many are in your party. We may be over sensitive, but the stress of this pre meal confusion is enough to make us chose another restaurant the next time we are in the mood for Mexican. It seems that it would be simple enough to just take names as people arrive.”

• Makes my mouth water just thinking about what to write - that sums it up!
• Not anything that is important.

“Food was excellent and the service very attentive and courteous. The atmosphere is low light, muted colors and comfortable but I can't say romantic. It's a boy so you can't argue about the wine - a liquor store two door down is convenient. The fish specials are great. My wife raved about the lobster and crab appetizer. The desserts are marvelous.”

• The oriental chicken salad is the best vie ever had.
• There are not enough seats for such a popular place. Line.

“Server was genuinely caring and attentive, food was hot, and brought out as soon as it was made. Music was pleasant. Ice cream was classic friendly quality- which of course means amazing. My children felt welcome and important, as our server found time to get to know them (as much as one can when serving 6 tables at once,) I will definitely come again!”
