- White sauce.
- Wait for table to fill up, wait staff , cooks don't care if you like food or not.
“If wait staff doesn't give drinks or ask if everything is okay then you still charged 15% tip, went in and the food was burnt, rice was burnt, asked to have rice not burnt and they were mad, we had a large group and half the tables rice was burnt, I got vegetable dinner, 6 pieces of zucchini two pieces of rice and all the rest onions, asked to speak to manager, they were rude acted like they didn't understand a word of English, but they did sit and watch the TV playing in English, got bill finally, explained not happy, and she said this is your bill. Paid my bill but will not return. Good was white sauce, just wish I had food to eat with it.”

Thai Orchid Restaurant

- Fabulous food, esp. Tom Kha Gai, duck red curry and basil dishes.
- Atmosphere authentic but not elegant.
“I love Thai food, lived in Thailand for several years, tried pretty much every Thai restaurant in NYC and DC as well as quite a few in Chicago and the West Coast, and consider this the best Thai restaurant in the US. I always wondered how such a great place ended up so far in the Boonies, on Hwy 15-501 in Aberdeen, in what seems to be a former Pizza Hut. I later saw on a map that the western boundary of Ft. Bragg runs practically through the restaurant's backyard. The decor is not as elegant as you might find in some spots, although it is clearly and authentically Thai, but the food is unsurpassed. The Tom Kha Gai is spectacular, duck (or chicken) red curry also great, all the Thai Basil dishes are superb, etc. If you are a Thai Foodie, this place is worth a big detour. Also, you often don't need reservations, but not a bad idea; this spot is justifiably very popular among the locals, and especially on Fri and Sat can get crowded. Even when crowded, the service is good, but why wait for a table!”
