- Excellent food and great staff.
- Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and brighter.
“The absolute best burgers! Shakes are great too! Staff is friendly, even when the diner is packed!”

Equus Rest Castle At Tarrytown

- Nice castle.
- There is no view and the service and food are deplorable!
“I decided to come here for drinks with my wife for her 40th birthday in July. This place is also special to us because it was where I proposed to my wife. However, when we got to the outside sitting area for cocktails, no one showed up to give us menus or take our order. After waiting 20 minutes I got up and asked on of the servers if we could have a menu. Again after ten minutes, no response. Then, an older couple who looked like they were in shock that someone as young as us could even be there, were served menus and had their order taken the second they were seated. I could possibly live with that slight except for the fact that it happened again about two minutes later when another couple was served before us. Needless to say, my wife and I were disgusted and decided to leave. We complained to the hostess who simply said nothing and looked the other way. To add insult to injury, the parking attendant left my car on the whole time with the AC blasted on one of the hottest days of the year! When I confronted him as to why this was allowed he got belligerent and started yelling at me that their were too many cars that had to be parked. Mind you, this was a Saturday night and there was no one else waiting to have their car parked and the restaurant was mostly empty. Needless to say, my wife and I will never go back to this place.”

- Nothing!
- Worst behavior I have ever seen in the world!
“I have never been to a restaurant like this! We were happy to find a Portuguese restaurant where they have sardines the Portuguese way. At the beginning the waiters were very friendly and brought bread and butter. After we have said we wanted just to order this appetizer. The waiter went away. The manager came to us, said if we wanted just to have drinks and appetizer we had to pay more. We asked why and he did not give any answer. He took our drinks away and said we don't need to pay anything, but had to leave. The gentleman in the beginning turned to be nasty impolite creatures, just because we were not going to have may be the expected 4 course meal. That's completely outrageous! To be well received there and to receive a courteous treatment we have to spend a lot of money. So I recommend you to go there and spend a lot. They will certainly be happy!”

- Great Food, Great Value, Always a wonderful experience.
- Lacking in decor and ambiance, could use better dessert options.
“Some of the best food in town. I travel to Westchester a few times a year and I always make a point of stopping at Santa Fe. That other reviewer guy is crazy when he said he wanted more Mexican items. They have nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos, burritos, GREAT fajitas, fish tacos, shrimp, weekend specials, pork dishes, etc. Not to mention the great margaritas. There's also a LOT of fish and seafood choices. Try the seafood stew or the sole! My favorite dish is the Mexican pinata which has steak, chorizo sausage, tomatoes, onions, peppers, sour cream, guacamole, and is delicious!”

- Unique, interesting, delicious food, gracious service.
- I always eat too much here!
“The best kept secret in Westchester! The food is both interesting and delicious, not the "same old". Each time we visit, we discover another gem from the menu, which changes slightly with the season. The owners, a father and son team, could not be more gracious; they really care about their customers enjoying themselves. Be sure to save room (if possible) for the incredible homemade desserts!”
