- Seafood is wonderful. 1950s mountain view diner maintained well.
- Seating would be better if booths were used again.
“As a patron of the Six East over the last 20 years or so I must first say that this area of PA is chock-full of good family owned restaurants, all of which have their draw, individual specialties and friendly service that makes coming back again easy. The Six East however, is exceptional. To begin with the food. If it's seafood you're after, look no further. Try the grilled crab & Swiss as an inexpensive alternative to wasting time & money at the Red Lobster across the street. The Eggplant Parm is better than it is at home and deserts are always fresh, in-house delights. There's no chance of ever going wrong with the blueberry pie or rice pudding. The atmosphere is a wonderful combo of 1950's mountain view diner and a thoughtful pallet of colors and soft ambient light. Service seeks to please every time and consistency is a given at the Six East. It is one of the cleanest eateries in the region. If there were any drawbacks to the experience I'd have to lean to seating that can be more comfortable. Lack of booths in the diner area (they utilize tables and chairs instead) cut down on the amount of space available. The view of a low end car lot doesn't make the view as appealing as a river gorge or mountain chain but the interior of the building makes up for it. Lastly they do not serve alcohol and this can be viewed either way depending upon the party. Regardless, I will give the Six a perfect rating for it is the exception not the rule here in Northeastern PA.”
