• Waitress was pleasant.
• Food was awful and overpriced, restroom not clean and no soap.

“Was there 5/6/08 for dinner on the way home. While service was pleasant the food was terrible. I had never had a stuffed pepper that consisted of a piece of pepper on a plate with rice and something the consistency of a bowl of creamed oats spooned on top. Taste was pretty bad too. Visited restroom before eating, no soap; informed staff. Visited again after eating, still no soap. Again advised staff. There is a sign in the restroom warning, employees must wash before returning to work. Hard to do with no soap. Left me feeling quite queasy about eating in a place where no one can wash their hands or cares if there is no soap. Oh! Their excuse? They were busy. I would never eat there again!”

“This is by far the best bar in Clearfield. The bar staff is fantastic! They also have the best wings I have ever tasted.”

• We loved everything! .
• There was nothing negative at all about Hedges.

“When I visit my son in Clearfield, Hedges is my favorite restaurant. Our meals are always superb! The homemade gnocchi, meatballs, and sauce are so delicious. The best of all is the homemade Key Lime pie! I have truly never tasted any that was better. Hedges are definitely a marvelous place to eat. I can't wait to go again!”

• Good food, service and value for the money.
• Men room was clean but hot, AC broken perhaps?

“If you're looking for a good home-cooked meal, the Dutch Pantry is a good choice. We were a little hesitant at first, expecting Dutch cuisine, but the food offered was what you would find in a Cracker Barrel. It had a cute country setting and our service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and food came out quickly and was still hot from the kitchen. Be sure to save room for dessert, the Strawberry Shortcake and the Chocolate Fudge Cake desserts were excellent.”

• Great pub food, modestly priced. Good atmosphere. Free parking.
• Not for someone wanting an upscale dining establishment.

“Hedge's has a congenial, pub-style atmosphere. It is not overly romantic but would suffice as a good place to take a date yet works equally well for business associates. The meals are very well prepared and modestly priced. The booths and tables are spaced so you never feel cramped. The decor is fresh and contemporary. There are not a vast amount of dining choices in a small town, but Hedge's is definitely one of the best in Clearfield, PA.”
