• Awesome food.
• Prices pretty high.

“My husband and I spent 10 days in Elko. This was by far our favorite place to eat. Awesome prime rib! Great salads and nice atmosphere. If your in a hurry this may not be the place for you though. Closed on Saturdays and Sundays as they cater those days.”

“I was very disappointed as they have changed their signature cabbage soup to a vegetable soup, nowhere near as good. My ribeye was chewy and even the spaghetti sauce seemed different. Still great ambiance lots of family and friends but not the usual great visit.”

• The food was top quality and prepared perfectly, loved the informal atmosphere.
• Parking can be a problem.

“Before moving from NJ to NV we made several cross country trips by car. After discovering the star hotel restaurant we always made it a point to stay in Elko so that we could have dinner there. The food was always excellent, with a wide variety and large portions. Don't be put off by the location or the appearance of the hotel or you'll miss out on a great meal.”

“As a gourmet and a tour operator in France and Tuscany, Nevada Dinner comes as good as it gets. Nothing fancy, but excellent quality, tasty and plentiful to eat. The soup is homemade and as good as my own. The French fries are the best I ever had in the States and being Belgian I know my "fries". Every time I am in Elko, this is my restaurant. If Nevada Dinner was in the Bay Area, that would be my #1 restaurant.”

• The restaurant was clean; likely because few customers received their food or were even able to place an order.
• Everything else.

“We stopped in Elko on the way from Salt Lake City, Utah to Sacramento, CA. Bad Mistake! The 4 employees on duty seemed to be totally incapable of getting out food orders. We ordered our food at 8:15pm and received our food at 8:50pm, and it was only Luke warm. In that time, we observed literally dozens of potential customers enter the restaurant, stand in line waiting to place an order, and leave after being warned by others who were either waiting in line and/or had already ordered and were awaiting their orders. Many others who had actually placed orders eventually gave up in disgust and demanded refunds. The few orders actually delivered had mistakes.”
