Seamans Cove

Overall Rating: 9

Atmosphere:[8]
- Fresh salad greens and fresh seafood. Like the coating on the fried oysters. It was not too heavy. Typical local seafood restaurant. Personnel were friendly and competent.
- A little loud.
“Unlike the lady from D'iberville, we thought the food came too quickly. We couldn't finish our salads before the main course arrived. At least we got it hot!”

- Really good seafood.
- Had a long wait before being seated (45 minutes).
“Nice rocking chairs on the front porch, while you wait. It was nice, but it was also late winter. The fried shrimp and fish were really good.”

Atmosphere:[2]
- It is in a great location if only it was cleaned up and maintained better.
- Bad pavement and fuel on the ground. Soaks into boot soles.
“The fuel bays are about as filthy as any I've seen throughout the USA.”

- The location is great! The side dishes were O.K.
- Very average catfish.
“Very, very average! I had the "all you can eat catfish." You would think with Catfish in the "name" it would be good. Think twice. Go down 2 miles on the right side (going west) there's a place Aunt Nita's that would put this place to shame as far as quality. Also go to Captain Dee's. The Lakeview has a great location but nothing more.”

- The place has an o.k. family atmosphere.
- Lousy catfish, way overpriced compared the Aunt Nita's.
“The Catfish was surprisingly "not good". I ordered the $10.95 all you can eat. The baked potato was good .The biscuits were o.k. Honestly Captain D's is fare better for Catfish at half the price. I asked someone who knows the area 2 weeks ago about this restaurant. He made a face and said "its average". The guy was absolutely correct. A good tip! Go 2 miles west on rt 90.On the right hand side is Aunt Nita's. The Catfish dinner I had there was excellent. It also was only $ 6.00”
