- Waitress very friendly and catered to our every wish.
- The staff spends too much time talking and were seated near us eating.
“Excellent service but the drinks were a little strong for me and the food was fabulous.”

Whitlow's Forerunner Restaurant

- I was very impressed with the Tourist Information Nook packed with information and a local paper.
- Go down the hall and ask them to check and lock all of the 1st floor windows in the hotel.
“The food was great, healthy proportions, a good selection of vegetables, pleasing even the most finicky eater adult or child. Nothing was impossible making it easy to have the add-ons I prefer with my enter. Even the request for hot chocolate and coffee (Mocha) was perfectly balanced. I was most surprised and pleased that I did not have to ask the server for a refill. That alone made the meals a treat. It was fun sitting there enjoying the stuffed animals in the glass room just to my left, and various stuffed fish around the restaurant. All meals were bountiful, more than I expected. The location just off a major highway makes it accessible to everywhere. I most enjoyed the karaoke DJ while waiting for my food when I wanted carry out. Even though the El Royal Hotel was just down the hall, the way the food was packaged and secured, there was no dripping mess when I returned to the room. I was sorry for not taking my camera to capture the pictures of the recently captured animals. I am saying romantic for a specific reason. I would eat and stay there again. I think it should be called or tagged an all in one center as the place has excellent meeting, conference, banquet facilities without going outside. Small workshop or seminar participants would do well recommending this eatery and the complex for their next trip or meeting please.”

- Good with refills. Excellent food and nachos.
- Not the greatest crowd (crummy, but safe), a bit smoky.
“Flamingos have come a long way in redecorating. It still may be considered a little "hole in the wall" place but my family and I agree, the best wet burrito in Muskegon!”
