• The owner is great and fixes anything that goes wrong.
• A lot of the new staff isn't so great and screws up orders a lot.

“River St. Station has wonderful food and a very upbeat owner. While sometimes the odor don't come out right the owner is very quick to fix any mishaps.”

• Consistent good bar food and service.
• Nothing really.

“I eat there about 2 or 3x per month and the food is usually very good, as is the service. About what you would expect from a bar and grill. While I don't think they cater to families, there are usually quite a few in there when I go and eat. The deck scene in summer is great; they have the best deck in town. I gave it an overall 9 even though no area was higher than 8. I purposely did this because of their consistency. Definitely worth a visit.”

• Tonight-there was nothing positive about the place, normally there is.
• The service, the food. The smoke was horrendous.

“My family and I always go to early dinner at River Street Station during our Victorian Seighbell Parade - which is this weekend - Dec 1-4 2005. My son and daughter and I arrived at 4:45 - too our seat - had to flag someone down - got our drinks, ordered chile cheese fries(it took flagging another waiter down to get the fires) ordered our meal (2 cheeseburgers and 1 chicken strip) nothing major - 1 1/2 hours later - our young waitress told us that"the fries and drinks were the best that she could do! I think not. I have NEVER been treated so poorly in a restaurant. We sat there and watched others come in after us, get served full meals and leave-in time for the parade.

During this time as the palce emptied out, this waitress stood around and avoided our eyes. My son had to go up to the bar and and she was flat out rude to him. Then she came to the table witht the bill and smirked and said" Thats the best she can do!" Well if thats the best she can do and she has no business doing that work!

I have managed kitchens, run Lord and Taylor department stores and traveled all over and never ever have I been treated so poorly. I am seriously dissapointed and will make sure others hear about this poor quality of service so they do not go there to dine no one deserves such outragous treatment at the hands of some young lady that has no idea of the proper way to treat the public.

I will be down to speak to the owner on Monday.



Very very poor quality of service. The more so because the people that used to work there were so very nice and good to their customers. I am an excellent tipper but I know good service and demand it from others too. The compettion is too tough to hire losy employess and their are many in this town who need a job and would work very hard to keep it.”
