Jack & Jims Food & Liquors
Oct 12, 2008 by Cait from Milaca
Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5
Food:[3] • Service:[7] • Atmosphere:[3]

  • Potato was hot and no smoke this time in the restaurant.
  • Entire food was warm, not hot and it was boiled.

“On September 23, we spent our anniversary afternoon with a dinner at Jack and Jim's. We both had the 'boiled' pork loin. It was just boiled in water. And to our waitress's credit, it was tender, but still boiled. My veggies didn't even melt the butter that I immediately put on them at serving, both dinners were lukewarm, not hot. My husband had the same dinner but with a potato instead of veggies. The potato was the only hot thing on both dinners. Had we known, we would never have ordered it. All in all, we wasted a very special 30th wedding anniversary on a meal that should not ever have been on the menu. This was our third and last visit to this establishment. The first was a Sunday brunch with family - very 'so-so' in food quality. Our second was just a lunch on our own and it was disappointing in quality of food and temperature also. Didn't learn and spent our very special anniversary meal there. On a rating of 1-10, we give it a three, because it filled our bellies. It is just bar food and not very good bar food at that. At least we didn't have to endure the smoky atmosphere this time, which is critically important to someone that has a very severe smoke sensitivity. That is about the only plus other than the potato being hot and the home made dinner roll that we found at this restaurant.”

Jack & Jims Food & Liquors
Aug 28, 2006 by Kelly from Princeton
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The best food you can find. Prices are very average to any steak house. Lobster is to die for!
  • More soup selections.

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I would drive hours to this place. It is out of the way, but the best food. I have never had that good of lobster ever. Not sure how they do it so good! I have tried, steaks, lobster, scallops and they were so good. A lot of people say the ribs are the best, but I am not a rib person. Very nice staff. The food comes very fast. Been here many times and always for special occasions over anywhere. Worth the drive no matter where you live. Lobster is very expensive, but when you try it, it is worth every penny and you will understand why it is so pricey.”
