• Steaks cut by hand on site.
• The service is so horrible, even if the food improved the wait staff will keep you away.

“The corner cantina is now T.F. Boonies. I was really taken aback by how unsatisfying my entire experience at T.F. Boonies was. The service was hands down the worst I have ever been subjected to! My server (who¿s Name I will mercifully omit from this review) was obviously untrained, otherwise how could someone have been so amazingly inattentive. I sat waiting for a refill on my beverage as it was quite warm outside and I was really thirsty. I watched my server lean against the bar chatting with the bartender for over 15 minutes as I desperately tried to make eye contact with her or anyone to help receive just a simple refill. Finally I went to the bar myself. There were only two tables on my side of the restaurant and it took well over 30 minutes to receive my food. My partner's new York strip was overdone, dry and chewy. The only option for vegetable was carrots and since neither one of us likes carrots we were left to only eat our starches. My partner's hash browns were mushy, flavorless and burnt simultaneously! My chicken cordon bleu was quite unpleasant both visually and flavor wise. The au gratins were, in one word, horrible. I don't know what kind of can the sauce came out of, but I have had much better in my past. At the end of my experience, my server slapped the check on the table, never asking if I enjoyed my meal or if it was cooked to my liking. It is safe to say I will not be returning to T.F. Boonies until perhaps the next restaurant takes its place.”

• The pies looked amazing. If you order a meal and a beverage, you can have a huge slice for 79 cents verses the usual $2.99.
• Service really lacks unless you have been eating there since the opening of the establishment.

“My experience at this establishment was most disappointing. The server was quite unprofessional, just throwing menus on our table as she walked by after a considerable period of time waiting for her attention. The restaurant wasn't even half full. She forgot to bring us our salads since she was too busy chatting with locals and never refilled our waters. The server didn't even make an effort to apologize for completely missing an entire portion of our meal! The sandwiches were small. Surprisingly small. The food was overpriced for what you received. Pretty poor value in my opinion and both my partner and I eat out often. The environment was your typical greasy spoon, nothing to knock your socks off. I was as disappointed as they had come recommended from a coworker. I certainly wouldn't offer the main street restaurant to anyone as a good dining option. If anything, I would recommend they stay away. Save your money and check out some other dining establishment or risk being greatly unsatisfied.”

• Everything on the menu is excellent!!
• Not the fastest service.

“I LOVE MIGUELS!!!! My grandparents live in Detroit Lakes and every time we visit them, we HAVE to stop at Miguel's!! When my aunt was pregnant, she used to crave Miguel's, and would often drive up there just for the tacos!!”
