• Food is consistent and tasty.
• Service isn't just poor, its lousy.

“Great food combined with poor service from repeat visits. Even when empty you wait to be seated, drinks become empty with no one stopping by for reorders or refills, and the food takes forever. This is not a place to take business appointments, but may work out for romantic meals if one likes to take time to stare into another's eyes without any food in the way.”

• Attractive.
• Extremely poor service and poor management.

“We visited on a Wednesday evening around 7:30. There were five tables filled in the entire place. We waited 15 minutes and saw one waitress laughing and talking with the bartender and then she went over to count her tip at a dirty table. Five minutes later another party walked in, sat beside our table and the waitress went over and took their drink order. I asked her to send the manager and she then said" why, is there something you want?" The manager came over and I explained to him the above and that we had waited over 20 minutes on a Wednesday evening when the place was almost empty. He didn't comment and said he would take the order. I told him no-thanks, I just wanted to let him know why we were leaving. The last thing we wanted to do was look for another place to dine. However, we eat out at least five nights per week and are very patient diners, but this was just ridiculous. The place must be financed with family money or it could not stay in business.”

• See comments above. Also, restaurant filled with smoke from bar area.

“Poorly managed. Service was slow and not considerate of our time. Waited an hour and 20 minutes for our food. They forgot the appetizer, brought it with our dinner and we still were charged. Food was not close to being a good value for the money. I strongly would recommend against this restaurant.”

• Not a romantic restaurant.

“Great oldies feel, complete with jukebox with 50's and 60's hits. Excellent sandwiches and some of the best root beer I've ever had. If you ever pass through South Lyon, a great place to stop, wonderful service and good value.”
