• Excellent traditional home cooked food and low prices.
• Some waitresses seem to refuse to examine mugs before presented to customers.

“My rating is based on comparing this hotel with other similar restaurants. This hotel is a Belleville institution, especially among senior citizens and local families. It consists of two sections, one is traditional small town and downtown diner type tables and chairs. The other section is geared for groups and families. My wife and I patronized frequently for a few years. The prices are very low, especially the home cooking style specials. The stuff green pepper, noodles and other traditional American plates are above average. The only persons who would put down this food are probably people who prefer Applebee, chilies, good time charley and other over priced already prepared food serving chain restaurants. This is not a restaurant it is a busy bee, a New York Maxwell House small town traditional eater. Once must appreciated food of the home cooked food type to appreciate this hotel. The only complaint we have is the wait staff fails to look over coffee mugs before they present them. Too many times we got mugs that were extremely coffee stained, had too many nicks and sometimes even food particles. We returned more mugs at this hotel than all we ever returned in total in out lives. I must say once we began eating in the family-group room this stopped. We had already switched to water only.”

• Healthy, somewhat fresh vegetable food.
• Mostly a buffet restaurant. A much better and low price place is just a couple miles away.

“This hotel was originally a highly original restaurant located in a Roseville Rd, Belleville shopping center. My friends and I frequently the place for its low prices, coffee pot on the table, good service, good food. The Vietnam Vet and his Vietnamese wife who owned and managed the restaurant, managed to figure out just how to Westernize-Americanize basic Chinese restaurant fare so they could give a lot at low prices. I have had this sort of fare in Chicago, New York, New Jersey but never as passable and good. They built their own building a few miles down the service drive. It also had many customers. The family that bought it a few years later changed the food and saw their business decline. They saved it by resorting to inexpensive buffets and a drive up take out menu. The food is good but not my cup of tea. Chinese food is very popular in south east Michigan, especially within the Ann Arbor area. The food reminds me of what you get in most small town mid western city Chinese take-out and inside dinning places. So and mostly Cantonese. There is a much better Chinese restaurant with reasonable small Chinese restaurant-carry out pricing just few miles away on Belleville Road. Bamboo Garden, the most popular Chinese restaurant in Belleville.”

• The food, the service.
• Non smokers beware; there is really no barrier to separate the sections.

“There roasted chicken is to die for, and of course their great breakfast. There open 24 hours, and the staff is always nice.”

• Food and manager attentiveness.
• Presentation of bread on food and loud bus boy.

“I had breakfast at Dennys even though it was 4:00. Food was good-eggs, hash browns, sausage- although she put the bread on top of the hash browns. I felt that looked strange-usually it comes in another plate. I asked for one and got it. Bus boy was rather noisy with the dishes several times- maybe he was in a bad mood. Waitress was good and the manager came by 2 times to make sure every thing was alright. I liked that.”

• Great food and friendly service.
• Nothing.

“I love red apple, I go there once a day at least. I find that all the food is wonderful and price friendly. I haven¿t had one thing I didn't enjoy. I favor the chicken stir fry you can't find one better than at mikes. You get full portions for reasonable prices. I would definitely suggest mikes to anyone.”
