“Ordered a Rib Eye Steak - Could have been a "shoe". After my husband and I trying to chew it and trying several sides of it and chewing until we could not and spitting it out, we complained. There was no manager there. There were only two other people in the restaurant and we still had to wait for over an hour for the food. The waitresses were too busy laughing and talking about the manager that was not there that day. The girl in charge, never even came to our table about the steaks - she asked across the restaurant if we wanted to order another and we said no, that we didn't want to have to chew it that long again. We ordered a chopped beef steak and waited another half hour. We decided to go home and eat it. They charged us for both of the rib-eye steaks - even though they were horrible. My husband ate the chopped beef steak and got very ill. It had been refrigerated the entire time. I've eaten at this restaurant for many years and had "decent" experiences but will NEVER eat there again due to the attitude.”

- I liked the quick service and excellent food. Also the homemade things available.
- Nothing negative.
“ While staying in Plaucheville, LA after Katrina, we discovered Lea's Lunchroom by accident when we saw an
ad in the Alexandria paper. We stopped on the way back from the VA in Alec. The place was really a find. The fare consists of a lunch for a modest price which includes an excellent choice of home style entries and sides and a dessert. The restaurant specializes in excellent pies which they sell whole or by the slice. It also sells handmade crafts, jellies, and an assortment of books and cookbooks of Louisiana. The restaurant is now a regular stop.”
