• Best burger in town and fruit shakes the old fashion way!
• No indoor seating.

“Picture it, Owensboro; key. The city on the river, 1955. High school students are pulling in to their local drive in for malt and a cheeseburger at their favorite hang out, the wonder whip. Everything is still the same at this local drive in. The only thrill here is the food. You walk up to the building to place your order and pick up your food. There is no carbide service, but the food more than makes up for the trip to the pick up window. I have been going to the wonder whip since I was a child in the 70's. The burgers here are the best! The shakes are the ticket, too! Most locals will tell you the big dipper is the drive up of choice in Owensboro, but trust me, the wonder whip on the east end of town is far better without the traffic! Try a double wonder with cheese!”
