“Great food. Gyros, hoggies and especially the Chili are the best. This is the only place I eat chili at. I highly recommend it.”

• Dirty, smoky and old.

“How do I start this review? Well its a gigantic smoke bomb, you know the kind you wish you had with your little kid, and well you found your place! Inside the place looks like a smorgasbord of garbage. Instead of "gourmet" they should have called it "smoky Joes garbage smorgasbord" and how do you create "gourmet" in chili? Food is average bar food. At night theres a wannbe overweight vanilla ice that usually has rap in high volume and he thinks its cool to run with punks, his nicotine stained fingers will make you a great 3 way that Castro would like. Food is greasy and place is dirty. Avoid, McDonalds is better.”

“I just ate there a few times and yuk! It's filthy. The place looks like it's from the 50's and it's true, it was never updated and shows the wear and dirt built up from the years. Behind the grill you can see grease caked on the wall (hmm. Whets the health inspector¿s number?). Now onto the food, the food was mediocre. I had fish and Mac¿s cheese. Mac¿s cheese was just macaroni with cheese sprinkled on top. It was Nasty and didn't taste nothing like Mac¿s cheese. The fish was also greasy. Now gyros? The meat is cooked in margarine like they where lean to begin with. Margarine will run from the peat bread along with the sour cream and cheese. You will pay $8.00 for a triple bypass waiting to happen gyro. As for the taste, it's okay if you get past the margarine dripping from the peat bread. This is a place to do if you are really drunk and don't care about quality and decor and just want to stuff yourself.”

• Gyro's and chili cheese fries are the best here.
• None.

“I have eaten here hundreds of times and have never seen a roach, nor have I had bad food, some menu items are better than others. A steak hoagie is a poor choice at a family restaurant known for decades for its chili. Try chili cheese fries, or a gyro, their both excellent selections. This place does have smoking only, but a trip to gourmet chili is a necessity for anyone wanting to see the soul of Newport.”

• Poor quality and environment.

“The place was very dirty and a smoke bomb. You leave the place smelling like stale smoke. The food was over priced too. I saw roaches too; the health board should get involved with this place. I order a steak hoagie and it was Luke warm, gross! I do not recommend this place; McDonalds would be better (and cleaner). Service is quick, but that¿s about the only thing going for this place. I sincerely hope the health dept shuts this place down.”
