Cafe Brio

- Flavorful, well prepared food.
- Mechanical wait staff, somewhat austere decor.
“Cafe Brio offers contemporary southwest food that more often than not is prepared very well and I enjoy eating there. The service, on the other hand, is so amateurish and oblivious that you must actually tell the wait staff not to bring the main dish while you are still in the middle of your appetizers - unless you want them to do just that. The decor might be described as urban minimalism with a southwest flavor; okay but functional at best. From the outside the place always and I mean always, looks closed. Many non-locals probably do not even know it is there, which is too bad.”

Chesapeake Seafood House

- The quality, freshness and preparation of the sea food.
- A couple more selections on the wine list would be nice.
“This is a marvelous, old-fashioned sea food restaurant located in a charming, Italianate house built in the 19th Century. My wife and I make a point of eating there every year when we travel to Springfield for an annual winter event. We lean toward the large, fresh, lightly battered fried shrimp, but you can also order fresh lobster and several other fish and seafood items. Or have surf and turf. They also do a nice job with steaks. Save room for dessert.”

- Quality food priced right. It isn't subway! Everything is fresh.
- Parking can be a problem but space is available across the street.
“This is as much of a deli that you can find in this part of the country. The owner and his staff is exceptionally friendly and very welcoming (we were there at the end of rush hour so we saw both sides). The food was priced right for the quality offered. The meat was obviously fresh as was the variety of breads he used. We each ended up with a different type of bread and were extremely pleased (Deli quality). The soups are exceptional and obviously fresh. Try the chicken tortellini. Other customers said the cheesecake was everything they expected. Generally a great place to jump in for a sandwich. Most customers are take-out so tables are always available. Definitely worth a try!”

- Good pizza.
- No dining in.
“The one in Chatham is excellent, and has been for years. It is strictly delivery and carry out. No dine in and the place isn't fancy. The people are friendly and the pizza is a good value for the money.”
