• Good, consistent food with great variety. Salad bar is great.
• Service, if by younger staff sometimes neglectful.

“I have been going to Harner's for years. Great salad bar, great breakfast: they make their own sausage, first Friday of the month is Pig Roast (yes, home grown and roasted), during Lent they have great fish specials. Don't miss Prime Rib on Saturday night. After 6:00 pm Monday-Saturday and after 2:00 pm Sunday you can purchase donuts and rolls (ask which ones) for Half Price. So much better quality than Dunkin Donuts. Love coming here; I travel out by train to Aurora just to meet friends and family members at Harner's!”

• Quality of the food and the prices, selection.
• Not open later on Sundays.

“Good home cooking, the way Mom used to make it. Nice peaceful and quiet environment with a large menu and lots of selections to choose from. Scenic location. Frequented more by locals than by travelers.”

• A storied, family-style restaurant where you're likely to meet someone you know from the neighborhood.
• Because of its local popularity, there's usually a waiting time.

“Harmer¿s tops my list for a restaurant to take my family. They have an a-list bakery which greets you as you arrive. A nice family-oriented atmosphere makes it an inviting place for families and children. They serve (free) warm banana bread soon after taking a seat. The price/value ratio makes this place unbeatable. I'm still waiting for them to figure out that they could easily raise prices without affecting business.”
