• Location, service, quality of food, quantity of food.
• Can get a little loud.

“Rocky's (on the River location) has pretty good food for the price. Certainly it's not a 4-star restaurant but no family centered venue is. The service is top notch, especially in light of the volume of business. Some of the other reviewers seem to be ignorant to the service demands of such a large eatery. The food is very good; the owners, who I know are both Italian-American, have maintained some authentic Italian recipes for the American palate at wonderful prices. The view of the Ohio River and Downtown Louisville are simply stunning. This is a favorite, especially in the summer with the al fresco dining, for my wife and I.”

• The view of the Ohio was nice.
• Service was deplorable.

“The service here was the worst service we've had anywhere in the world. In all of our travels, no where were we treated so lousy. We waited 30 minutes just to get a waiter to our table, then what appeared to be a cook, tossed the plate on our table with a "here you go" the food was ok, nothing like the old Rockys I remember back in the 80s. Needless to say I don't recommend this place, and I certainly wouldn't go back.”

• Sits on river bank with Louisville as backdrop.
• The 3 items we ordered were not worth eating.

“The crab cakes were without texture and very bland. The clam chowder was served cold and when heated tasted like something directly out of a canala maybe not even that well. The gumbo was watery and without flavor. The setting is nice on the bank of the Ohio river looking across at Louisville.”

• The view was great of the Ohio river.
• Service fid.

“I was extremely disappointed with not only the service, but also the food. We were with a group of at least twenty people from "the Italian American association" my son and I ordered first since we had to leave in roughly and hour. My meal came in a good time my son had to have his boxed since the service forgot to order his. His meal was also cold when we returned to our car. I probably would not return, or have to give it careful consideration. Other members from our group were also disappointed.”

• Love the food and staff.
• Did not like the organization of the opening of the new restaurant in Louisville as far as their hiring went.

“I love Rocky's and have always had very good experiences at their restaurant I started going to Rocky's when it was in it's original location in Indiana next to Jeff Boat and have followed them ever since. You can't keep up with out one guys. We have a small child at home and like to get carry out a lot.”
