• Location.
• Smelled awful; food made my kid sick.

“We ordered pick-up. The place smelled very bad. The food wasn't very good; one of our kids got sick on it. We won't go back.”

“My wife and I just had dinner tonight at Atwater's with another couple. The food was sub standard at best. My wife had a the pork chop and while it was a big chop it was dry. We each had a cocktail and 1 bottle of wine with the dinner and 2 appetizers. The goat cheese was not worth 10 dollars. You got two pieces of goat cheese about the size of a quarter on a dry cracker with a raspberry jam melted over the top and a micro green salad that was truly micro! The menu is all over the map. The chef has a book that he is selling in the lobby and I found that his family owns Q's Pizza in Hillside! This is the food that needs to be served there! (Believe me Q's needs it) I grew up in Hillside and Q's is hardly a good pizza joint. If I were the chef I wouldn't put that place on my resume.”

• Our server Mora was very friendly and apologetic.
• The managers made it very clear that they do not care about repeat or referral business.

“While we did not have an issue with our server at all, the managers are less than customer-centric. My husband and I went to lunch and tried to use a gift certificate. We were told in a less than friendly manner by the managers that the certificate was given under old owners and that it did not make sense for them to accept it as they would just lose money on it. They also said that it was 5 years old, even though we pointed out that it specifically stated their was no expiration date. We would have gone somewhere else that did not charge us $30 for a basic lunch if we knew that was the case. While the atmosphere was unique, the food average and the treatment by the managers was definitely a reason not to go back. It was pretty empty in there, so I would have thought they would have been happier to have clients.”
