- Ice cream was average.
- The whole experience.
“Servers just slopped the items in the cups, no lids ice cream melting all over the cup before we even got it.”

- Chicken! Grouper! Service! Friendliness!
- There is no vegetable on the menu. Sodas are small with no free refills.
“This is the best fried chicken in the galaxy. I'm not exaggerating. Also, the grouper is fantastic. The prices are fair; actually, if you are from the Chicago area, you will consider it very inexpensive. The large bar is nice. The tables, chairs, dishes, etc. are quite ordinary and plain. Bartenders and servers are all very nice. I do wish they would offer a vegetable of the day instead of, or in addition to, a potato. Potatoes are boring and a veggie would be a healthier alternative. Onion rings are great; the homemade salad dressings are very good, and they are available for purchase.”

- Speaking to john (the owner) is a pleasure and I look forward to it when ever in town.
- The only thing negative is the restaurant isnt closer to Chicago.
“I have eaten there quite a few times when traveling through the area. Everything from the best chicken I have ever eaten to the steaks and seafood is terrific. I think the broiled and fried chicken (very large pieces) is the best you can possibly get. Also, I love the rib eye and pork rib combination, and the steak and shrimp combination.”

- Chicken.
- Long time to get food.
“Probably the best fried chicken you will ever have in your life. I highly recommend the 1/2 light with fries and a side salad. No free refills on drinks, and if you get a to-go order they limit you on what you can chose on the to-go options. Extras are expensive, but overall it's well worth it. The food is fantastic.”
