- Good food and nice atmosphere.
- nothing!
“We used to live in Lake Bluff (1989-1994) and the Full Moon was our favorite restaurant. We now travel often to the area & never miss a meal at Full Moon! The food is amazing! Home-cooked, hot, flavorful and delicious! The desserts are wonderful. Portion, more than ample. Soups are yummy and home-made. I have never had anything there I didn't like. We love that there is no longer smoking allowed. The entire dining experience is better without the smoke. We passed through yesterday & had to stop for lunch. Best Roast lamb anywhere. My teens say they have the best burgers & fries, as well. A tradition for our family. And, at this time of year, they always offer a free Thanksgiving dinner to anyone who comes in. An amazing owner family. They are always there - and so accommodating and giving. We are so grateful for the Full Moon!”

- Food is great, staff and management are extremely courteous.
- Not much.
“I have stayed in the area from time to time since 1989 (navy schools). I always make it my first stop in and my last stop out of town. I love this place! There is one thing they don't put on the menu (maybe they have by now) it's called the carbetsie (sp?) omelet, aka, the garbage omelet. Oh my God bring your appetite because this is huge and delicious. The management is extremely polite and constantly walk the restaurant talking to the patrons. Sadly a dinosaur in this day and age of dine n dash mentality. Thank you for all the wonderful visits and memories, whenever I think back to my times in the Great Lakes I always remember the Full Moon.”

- Great food, great prices, great service!
- They no longer have a smoking section (state law).
“This place is great! I had my first experiance with The Full Moon, after being station near there with the Navy 1986-1990. Matter of fact, the place can get a little crowded with all the Navy Boot Camp families on Friday (Graduation Day) and Saturday evenings. But, there is ALWAYS room for a few more. My family and I, always enjoyed the hot food, prompt service, and the wonderful waitresses, then and now! Matter of fact, the waitresses bought my 3 year old daughter, Bree, a blue satin Full Moon jacket back in 1988. They always treated us like family! Go Anna-Banana! Their menu is full of choices, even for the pickiest of eaters. The price is more than fair, and the portions are pretty good sized. My father still lives up near O'Hare, but I make the 35 mile drive up North everytime I come up to visit. Lately, I have been in the Chicago area due to my dad's poor health, and usually go up about once a week or so. And now that Illinois has gone "smoke-free", you have a great place to enjoy your meal, Friendly service, great food, and decent prices, what more could you ask for? Go ahead and stop in, give it a try.”

- This is my hands down all time favorite deep dish pizza, bar none!
- Service could be faster and more attentive.
“Silo is the best place in the northern suburbs, and perhaps in all of Chicago land, for deep dish pizza! The crust is perfect and tasty enough to be eaten without toppings on it. The sauce is heavenly with delicious chunks of tomato in it. They put just the right amount of gooey cheese on, and all the toppings I've tried seem to be of first rate quality. I honestly prefer this pan pizza to the more famous places in Chicago. The only drawback is service can be very slow and sometimes not very attentive. Not a place to go when you're short on time. It's also quite noisy during busy times, something I like but some people don't. Highly recommend trying this place if you are a fan of deep dish, you will not be disappointed with the pizza.”

- Service and food.
- Location beside train tracks, but hey there is not much one can do about that.
“This restaurant is amazing- the food is awesome! Compliments to the chefs. The service in wonderful to- the servers really make you feel at home. More than once I have been there and have seen the owner out and around the restaurant talking to customers - not a trait you see much anymore. Tell me how many restaurant owners have come and asked you how your food tastes and how the service is? Not many I know. Full Moon is a big exception. Aside from the rumbling feeling in one of the two smoking sections you feel when the train rolls by its a great restaurant.”
