“It's not so hard to please us Highland Parkers, but French food can be good or bad, like anybody's cuisine. This stuff was below average French cooking - like the fanciest restaurant in a factory district in Belgium. There was simply nothing to really like, from the under seasoned fish dishes to the stale dessert tarts. The wine was plonk. The waitress was really sweet but absolutely clueless - the owner/chef/girlfriends clustered in a corner and appeared to be amusing themselves by ridiculing a table of elderly guests. Good riddance to this place!”

“Oh how sad even the French cannot please these high landparkers! I loved the restaurant and will go back!”

“Dined 9-3/2005 For an expensive restaurant the waiters were very poor and didn't understand much english. We ordered a glass of wine for each of us (my wife and I) and the waiter brought one glass and placed it between us. Upon our repeated explanations that we really each would enjoy a glass of wine, the 2nd glass was delivered in such a manner as to tip an entire glass of ice water on my husband's lap. After this incident, the only restitution offered by the restaurant was to reheat my husbands entre, since he spent considerable time drying off in the wash room. No offer was made of a complimentary dessert or coffee, or even a 2nd round of wine. Instead, the hostess tried to pass it off as a joke, as in "good thing we didn't spill wine on you!" ”
