• Nothing really. We eat out a lot, and it was probably the worst dining experience we have had in Southern Illinois.

“We were surprised to find on entering the restaurant that there is no non smoking section, which I believe is required by law in Illinois. When I questioned it, I was told, "We're a bar." We ordered steaks and waited so long for them that the waitress apologized several times for the poor service. They were not that busy. When the food arrived, the steaks were probably the worst we had ever seen. The meat was thick and hard and looked stewed. When my sister tasted her's, she said she thought the meat was spoiled, just as I was about to say it tasted old. We complained to the waitress and we were billed for the potato and salad, although we didn't even eat all of it we were so turned off by it. We will usually go ahead and eat something we don't particularly like, but this food was terrible. I had heard pretty good things about the restaurant, but we will never go back. We wondered if the food had been prepared for a long time and then microwave to warm it up or something. They were supposed to be fillets, but I can't believe that's what it was. My husband did eat part of his. He said he felt it wasn't right but was really hungry. We had a Top 20 card and they charged him for his and used the free one I was supposed to get to pay for mine. I didn't matter, because we won't return. ”
