- The view of the river.
- Food, management, cleanliness.
“I was warned several times by many neighbors that things have changed there since the new owners took over. Boy, what an understatement. The Linger Lodge used to be awesome- great food, fun atmosphere, etc. It was always fun to take out of town guests there for something different to do. How sad that things have gone so wrong. The food I was warned about is seriously awful on several levels. I must say that I have only had food this bad a couple of times. When I tried to send the salad back the manager claimed I ate most of my salad and wouldn't take the charge off my bill. All I ate was 4 bites, actually 3 - the last bite I spit out into my napkin. The waitress thought the crab looked funny too and wondered why it was brown- she went to inquire but I never got an answer. I can honestly say that this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in several years. Folks, save your money here and go somewhere else. Bradenton and Sarasota host some of the best restaurants in Florida - The Linger lodge is not one of them.”

- They had a lot of ceramics to choose from the paint and great snacks while you worked.
- Nothing negative.
“We had a great time doing ceramics. It is definitely fun for the family. We also had Cookies and drinks. It was a great time!”

- Excellent, creative food. Locally-owned.
- Might expect 'diner prices' based on the casual atmosphere of the main dining area.
“Excellent food! Cafe 64 is gourmet fare in a no-fuss setting. Prices might seem high for what appears to be a simple diner, but you will not be disappointed in the delightful menu. If you want an elegant, intimate setting, The Rose Room located inside Cafe 64 is perfect for a romantic night out, or any other quiet dinner. The service is top notch, and the food is amazing. Cafe 64/The Rose Room is one of those local gems that often get forgotten among the glut of corporate chain restaurants. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. ”

- Always a great place to go with friends.
- Only if I don't get a seat.
“A great place to go if you enjoy a wide selection of imported beer. Peanut shells on the floor, original brick and frame interior with several tables outside the front door, nice atmosphere! Several TV's, music, and maybe a big friendly dog or two.”

- Good music.
- Flies in the drinks, what more needs be said.
“We ordered salads, appetizers and entries. The menus were dirty and the table was wet and spotted. Then we visited the restrooms for both men and women, but they were filthy and disgusting. The trashcans were overflowing. It smelled badly and the stalls were dirty. After we returned from the restrooms, we started with the salads. They were very ordinary. For the appetizer, we ordered the take two, with nachos and potato skins. I felt that both were overly dry, possibly from sitting out under a heat lamp too long. There was nothing special about them. As we were about to start on our main course, we never ate the entries, so it doesn't matter what they were. My girlfriend noticed two large flies floating in her water. I gave the water to the waitress, and she said, "Let me get you a new glass." I said, "Don't bother, just check please." We paid the check and left, since my girlfriend was anxiety attack and wanted to leave as fast as possible. We both still feel imaginary flies in our mouths and throats. No apology or offer of compensation was offered about the flies. Needless to say, we will not be going back.”
