“A great find in lovely Mount Dora. Real American hospitality, friendly and helpful staff, a menu full of delicious food at great prices and huge portions too! The diner was full of locals of all ages which is always a good sign when looking for a place to eat in any country. We all enjoyed a great meal served hot and fresh with lots of coffee and top ups.”

- Great story behind the name, great ambiance.
- Food.
“Great atmosphere and enthusiastic servers but the food quality is a solid medium and doesn't live up to the reputation and the quality of everything else that has been put into the restaurant. It's quaint but has plenty of seating, the servers are enthusiastic and even the name tied to an old poem is charming; they just need a chef or a good cook! The entrees I experienced were on crowded plates with too many things going on and seldom with unique or inspiring flavors. The wine list is mediocre in selection and excessively overpriced I even was asked by a waiter for a critique of the wine I chose as he couldn't get any information on it from his manager or bar keeper. .”

- Great service.
- Quality of food, over priced and annoying owners.
“I have traveled to England on many occasions and am very familiar with English fair. I thought the atmosphere was nice, and the service was great, but the food was over priced, and had little to be desired. The food is a poor representation of English food. The scones reek of Bisques, the potatoes are instant, the pot roast the owner claims is her mothers recipe, and she cooks it all day until it falls of the bone, later to discover it is from Sysco and is micro waved to perfection in it's little plastic bag. Once you're done enjoying that be sure and wash it down with the homemade lemonade from a public's plastic jug! I also found it to be quite bizarre that the owner had the nerve to pull a chair up with my friends and me and stayed and bored us to death with her view on politics. Save your money and instead try the wonderful Mexican grill around the corner on 5th and baker.”

- Menu selection, preparation, presentation and portion size.
- Decor is dated - looks like mid-sixties.
“Lampu offers a wide selection of entries from a full sushi bar to entree' featuring from shrimp, scallops and lobster. To chicken and fillet mignon. Their chefs' theatric flare add whimsy to the dining experience; the onion volcano never goes out of style and I've never seen so many different ways to crack an egg! The food is very tasty, the portions more than ample and the inclusion of grilled oriental noodles adds a great touch to the meal. And, their prices beat the competition (Kobes) hands down!”

- The food. My favorite Japanese restaurant.
- The decor should probably be updated.
“This place is not fancy, but they do have the hibachi grills, and their food is great. Their chefs and their sushi chefs are excellent. Their fried rice is my favorite out of any restaurant around. The prices are also lower than many Japanese restaurants. They give generous portions on the hibachi-grilled meals.”
