“This restaurant was a disappointment to say the least. The only nice thing about this place was the view. Service was extremely slow. There was a 30 minute delay between receiving the appetizers and even taking our dinner order. The food was overpriced and lacked taste. My mahi mahi was inedible. I actually left it on my plate nearly whole. My money was wasted. I observed the tables nearby, and noticed their lack of food, so the problem appeared systemic. One man at another table begged the server to not take 40 minutes to bring the entree like it took to bring the salad. I am sure there are other local restaurants more deserving of patronage.”

• No web page, no phone recording giving hours, closed Sundays.

“Sarasota County's best sushi! The regular menu is excellent with fresh ingredients used in the preparations. The staff is child friendly, taking special care to preparing fun sushi and entertaining at the cooking grill as they prepare your food before your eyes.”

• Sitting under the Banyan tree is great.
• The food was not good.

“Used to be our favorite place in Sarasota: great service, atmosphere and of course food. We had our rehearsal dinner there. However, the chefs have all moved on (to Dereks and Metro) and the food has suffered. We took some friends from out of town last week and our meals were bland and uninspired. The soup tasted like it came from a can; the beans for the fried chicken were unseasoned. The prices were always a bit high in the past but the food was fantastic. No mass. We'll have to find a new favorite place. Not worth it at these prices.”

• Great atmosphere felt like a hometown establishment.
• Hard to get a pool table. Too popular.
