Angelo's Corner
Jun 2, 2008 by Emily from New York
Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[1]

  • The food could kill you because we witnessed the same person who handles cash was handling the pizza and spreading the toppings without gloves or washing her hands.

“We were down there vacationing and one afternoon, we decided to have some pineapple pizza at Angelo's Corner. We asked the cashier nicely if we can have some slices of pineapple pizza to go. The lady answered, sure. A moment later after she got done counting several dollar bills, she went under the cabinet and got a container filled with chopped pineapples. She dunked her filthy hand in there and spread them over the slices of pizza. I kindly said, with all do respect can you use gloves? She said sorry this is the beach nobody uses gloves. We had kids with us and she did not care and said you can go if you want to and we left, but we want to let everyone who is reading to please not eat at Angelo's Corner unless you want yourself or your children to get sick. You can go there and see for your self.”

Bagel Place The
Jun 20, 2007 by Sam Rothstien from Cooper CIty
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9
Food:[9] • Service:[10] • Atmosphere:[10]

  • Real bagels New York style, family owned with cozy atmosphere.
  • Gets crowded on the weekends.

“I have been eating at this place for a few years now and the quality of service and food selection is always superb. It's like a family when you walk in as you're greeted by one of the owners who are always there and in no time they know how you like your meal prepared. It's at a great location right across from Pembroke lakes mall in the Michaels shopping plaza on pines and hiatus and with today's gas prices its great to have a place to stop by on the way while you're running your errands. The bagels are great and made fresh daily and they have a buy a dozen get 6 free on Tuesdays. The meals range from simple breakfast items like omelets to lunch platters from steaks to sliced lox platters. Also they make a mean pastrami sandwich as well as wraps. Sometimes when I take out my kids and am on a budget I get the all day special for $3.49 which comes with two eggs, a bagel, home fries and coffee. The palace as the regulars call it also gets frequented by some local celebrities and sports stars such as Shaq and Dwayne wade from the Miami heat and their families and also there's some dolphin players in the mix but they're not worth mentioning.”

Las Palmas
Jul 24, 2006 by STEVE from LAKELAND
Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1
Food:[1] • Service:[1] • Atmosphere:[2]

  • Very nice view.
  • Over all total dissatisfaction.

“The service was terrible. Our order was all messed up. Some of us didn't even get served till others were done eating. Apparently, someone had a bloody nose or cut themselves in the men's room and they left blood on the floor and on the soap dispenser. When I tried to get soap I was left with blood on my hands. I pointed my frustration out to the manager and he suggested that I should not tip my server. WOW? When I got home I found that I had been overcharged and had to call my credit card company to have it resolved. ”
