  • They messed up my order which has happened twice before.
  • I wanted to speak to the owner and the manage told me the owner does not speak with customers.

“Way over priced. Service is really slow and when you can get it, it's like talking to a wall. The food is not that great for the very high price.”

  • Inventive sushi.
  • Decor is minimal.

“I've been eating at this place for years and in spite of a recent change of ownership, Hiyama is a terrific not to miss dining experience. The key to an incredible meal is to put yourself in the hands of the chef - and one eye-popping dish after another comes to your table until you are sated. Great bang for the buck, or at least from the Manhattanite's perspective. I love this place! Still my favorite Japanese restaurant in southern California - and tucked away in a fairly quiet commercial neighborhood. Who wrote the bad review? Must have been the owner of the Japanese place up the street (which I confess I have not bothered to try). Go, eat and enjoy.”

  • They have GREAT fried rice & LOVE the ginger salad dressing!!!

“Always delicious food & always a GREAT show! It's like Bennihana, only more casual and a bit more
