- Lasagna was decent.
- Service the worst!
“My boy friend and I went here on a non-busy Saturday night for a late dinner. We always like to try new places, so when passing this Italian restaurant on El Camino, we figured might as well. We waited in the front room for about 7 minutes with no hostess in sight. The hostess came, we asked to see the menu which she then handed to us without a word then disappeared again. Ten minutes later she reappears and we asked to be seated. She motioned us to a table near the back of the room, hardly saying anything to us and not even wishing us a pleasant meal. Our waiter was much worse. He never looked us in the eyes, seemed to roll his eyes when re requested a bottle of wine. We didn't understand why he was so rude to us yet so polite and friendly to the couple sitting right next to us! Other points that made us decide to never go back was, there was a hair on the table! The bread was obviously a day old, it was hard and not even warm. Our waiter never checked in on us, only brought the food and the check. Our bread plates stayed on the table through the whole meal. The only good thing about it was the lasagna was pretty good. My boyfriend's pizza didn't look like anything special though. For lasagna and good pizza, stick with Frankie, Johnnie & Luigi's just down El Camino in Mountain View.”

- Sometimes it's so busy you have to wait for a table
“The food is to die for...if you like authentic italian food, this is the place for you. Gumbas offers a full menu complete with handmade pizzas and calzones, meat dishes including steaks, fresh fish dishes, and of course pasta! Mmmmmm, just thinking about Gumbas makes me hungry. Everything the chefs deliver is cooked to order and absolutely WONDERFUL. I've been there more than 20 times and have never had a bad dish. This is one of those **** restaurants. I'm in a wheelchair and it is accessible to a point - I can't say that I've used their restrooms.”
