- Food is great!
- No complaints.
“Hi Life has great burgers and pastrami. Great onion rings, fried zucchini and chili fries. If you're in the mood for this type of food. This is the place to go. Also, they make great breakfast burritos. Ranges from $5-10. They always get your order right.”

- Wait staff.
- Perhaps vulnerable to restaurant turnover because of high quality.
“We do not frequent high end restaurants, so this restaurant might not be a surprise to those who do. The first time we naively asked what the little orange thingies were; the waiter thought there were small tomatoes; he later told us they were salmon roe. On the second visit, when we met our future daughter-in-law, the wait staff were patient as we waited for her to show up (about 9:00p.m.). On that occasion, its service is the single best service of any restaurant we've ever been to. Team cooperation; thorough; unobtrusive. ”

- The Bougainvillea covers much of the street side of the restaurant.
- We have to go 1800 miles to enjoy it.
“This is one of our favorite eating spots in South PasadeNA Great service, food, value; very popular with families, sitting at round tables, enjoying family style one excellent dish after another. Everyone is your waiter: Your bill stays on the table; different waiters add to it. The second time we were there, one waiter recognized us from across the room and asked with a few words and a gesture or two if we wanted our two favorite drinks.”
