- Great tacos.
- Very slow service- especially during lunch.
“This restaurant has the best crunchy chicken tacos I have ever eaten anywhere! I am a huge fan on Mexican food and can tell u where all the great dives are. But I go here a lot because there is not a lot of good Mexican restaurants in the area. Besides having the best tacos and good chips and salsa there were a few things I didn't like, the service is extremely slow, they could sure use another cook! Also; all the other food I have eaten there has not been very good and there were small portions, but they do have taco Tuesdays! I would recommend going then!”

- The waitress smiled.
- Everything else!
“I expected 2 or 3 nice, freshly made, Cannelloni on a plate, instead received a "casserole dishful" of freezer-to-broiler, somewhat burned, mushy "Cannelloni". The Spumoni ice-cream was not the usual green (pistachio), red (cherry) and brown (chocolate) separate colors and flavors. It was a "stirred", uniformly brown, ice crystal laden concoction with a miniscule amount of dried fruit and nuts, and even less flavor. Safeway's Spumoni is far superior! Garlic bread was dry and not appealing. I don't know who on earth would give this restaurant more than 1 star. My dinner was $28 for really unappetizing food.”

- Great-tasting food, reasonable prices, large portions.
- None.
“We were visiting in Sacramento last week and were so fortunate to have gone to Papa Giannis Ristorante! It's the best Italian food I've had in years (and I'm Italian!). The portions were enormous and the prices were unbelievably reasonable! In addition to all of this, the wait staff was so friendly and helpful! You'll love this place! It's a "have to" if you're in the area. Call ahead for a reservation. The place was packed!”

- The food is always fresh, hot and plentiful.
- They are packed to capacity; the wait can be well over an hour.
“The food at this restaurant is terrific. Try the Polo Francesca, or pesto pasta (your choice) with Papa's home made Italian sausage. Everything I've tried in the dozen or more times I've been has been delicious and plentiful. They get busy very quickly, so we try to get there at 5 when they open. Last time there, my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, and they brought us a wonderful dessert on the house in celebration. I have nothing but kudos for Papa Gianni's. Great food, good service.”

- Raviollies are okay.
- Soggy pizza.
“The pickin's are slim in Cameron Park, although it is getting better. This place is in a strip mall location, and an old one at that. It is the restaurant that looks like boards are covering the windows. I went several times and have had an average experience each time. Either food was good and the service was bad, or vice versa. Do not order the pizza as it will likely be soggy. Stick with your basic dish.”
