• Food was okay.
• Overcharged, rude waiter.

“The pompous waiter screwed up my order, cussed behind the bar as he fixed it, then overcharged our credit card! (We left a 15.5% tip, and he gave himself 20 %!) Skip this place!”

• Liked the gyoza and service.
• Small new location.

“This is a great little Japanese family restaurant. I have been going to Fukusuke for about 20 years. Fukusuke is family owned an operated. The chef is the son and mother still waits the tables. All the food is good, but their gyoza is the best I've ever had. The warm reception will make you feel at home. They have lots of regular customers and it adds to the overall home feeling. They have just moved to a new location on magnolia in larkspur. The Sausalito address in the posting is wrong. They are in a little shopping center opposite Albertsons.”

“My family of 4 visited this establishment while visiting San Francisco. This visit was without a doubt the strangest of situations concerning our service. From the moment we walked in, it was at if we had "From out of Town and not welcomed" on our forehead. Our waiter did not greet us and was Short to the point. My children even noticed and remarked that he was not friendly. We were hungry and did not make much out of it to start with. We were ignored for some time while seating was obviously not an issue. When were seated, again there was not communication from the waiter. We noticed that less than 5 minutes after were ordered that those around us were getting a separate menu. I was curious because I had wanted to have Seafood and there was not much listed on the one we received. Our waiter was obviously upset that I asked and stated that he had no come out yet. Long story short: after repeated acts of unfriendly service and the worst of manners, I decided my tip would reflect this. As we left the building the waiter ran to my car and gave me the tip back. I followed him back to file a complaint with the owner. He was not present but the bar tender stranded that he would take this. He refused to meet with me in private and told me to state my complaint. I did, The worst service ever witnessed. Did not understand why we were not welcomed, Had wanted to leave a note but decided that a small tip would be enough, followed me into the street and made a scene. This was my complaint. The bar tender had no comment. No apology, no nothing. I was amazed that No one in the establishment seemed to care. Some of the customers seemed shocked and I suppose this was my only form of satisfaction, to have made it known what we had experienced. I can not for the life of me understand what we encountered. It is hard to explain and comprehend our experience. I think it goes with saying that I do not recommend this establishment and had my family not been with me I would have probably demanded any explanation and satisfaction for our treatment.”

• Rude owner we were treated badly.

“I agree with the other reviewer that the owner makes this restaurant some place you want to stay away from as there are too many wonderful friendly places in Sausalito to waste your time going somewhere you are treated rudely and as if you are unwelcome. Our order was wrong and when we told the owner he got angry and said "no one else has complained but you!" I was shocked as he had sent out chicken when we ordered shrimp! I have eaten there for years but will never return as the quality has gone down and am greasy and the last fish we ordered there smelled so bad we couldn't eat it.”
