- Fairly Inexpensive.
- Terrible service and dishonest waitress.
“We had a terrible experience here on June 26th, 2009. After an hour wait we were seated and ordered our meals. Five people - ordered two combos and three pizzas and one Escargot appetizer. Two of the three pizzas came with incorrect ingredients and the appetizer never arrived. Our drinks were empty and we had to flag down the blond waitress several times for refills, which was disappointing as we were right on the main aisle and hard to miss. When the bill came it included the appetizer we didnt receive so we brought this to her attention and she wrote a new total without it, but did not cross out the old total.”

- The hamburgers with smoke sauce.
- Too far from our home.
“The absolute best hamburgers we have ever had. We stop here every time we are driving through or staying in Glenwood Springs. We live in Northern CO about 4 hrs away. The hamburgers are big and the price worth it. If you drive up, expect to wait in a line but the wait has never disappointed us.”

“Lets just say for conversations sake that I am on death row. Before I am dead man walking the warden asks me what I want for my last meal. With no hesitation I say a Double #2 from Charcoal Burger with fries. I will die happy.”

- Fresh food cooked while you wait. Great service.
- Not a thing.
“Easily the best burger joint I have ever visited. It is an eleven on a scale of ten. Everything is fresh, cooked while you wait. No it is not McDonald's Drive-Thrus speedy, but what do you expect for real food cooked fresh? And the Coca Cola is real Coca Cola. I'd forgotten what real fountain Coca Cola mixed properly tasted like, but here it's the real deal. It's a small joint, no indoor seating, a walk up window and a rudimentary drive through, but for real food done right, it's the best I have ever had, coast to coast. ”

- Getting out of there and heading back to the current century!
- The entire experience!
“Champagne prices, bush beer quality if you have the option of eating here or eating shoe leather, go for the shoes! The service is a joke! When we complained that the food was no exactly edible, the waitress didn't even acknowledge that she heard us. I hunted down the manager who actually listened to my complaints; specifically that the bib chicken had been cooked so long the bones were mushy and the meat tasted like library paste, that the "prime rib" that was ordered medium came out bloody and cool to the touch, and that the spaghetti was so salty my 13 year old, who was hungry, couldn't eat it. If you can't get a teenager to eat spaghetti, it's got to be bad! She took the complaints to the owner, who didn't even come to the table or talk to us. Instead they sent the poor waitress to tell us that they weren't going to take anything off the check, even though we didn't eat it. We were seeing a concert that night, so we grudgingly moved to another table. Then the owner comes over to yell at us because he didn't feel we left enough money for a tip for the waitress. I am not joking, this obnoxious Russian is yelling at me, saying we have no class and that he runs a classy establishment and I wouldn't know good food if it hit me in my fat face. I am really not kidding; he is yelling this at the top of his lungs in the middle of the restaurant. I have eaten everywhere from Julius kitchen to ruts Chris to McDonalds, and mucky ado¿s is preferable! We unfortunately booked a room at this road house dive. During the concert the pot smokers started coming out, right in public. This is billed as a family establishment. We left the concert that we had driven 5 hours to see. The room is pathetic. There was exactly 1- 40 watt light bulb, 1 bath towel and 2 washcloths for 4 people. I am serious; I have pictures to prove it! We left when the drug deals started happening in the parking lot. Bottom line, if you find yourself stuck at this sleazebag cafe, turn around and go back to Glenwood springs!”
