- Pork Shoulder, brisket, and then check out a third choice.
- Pork ribs are sometimes great, sometimes a little chewy.
“I just moved from Prune dale last year, but as a scram official at Laguna Seca Raceway, I made it down there five times last year and always take race posters out to Don and Chris, and eat there. Before I moved I was eating there two times a week. It's definitely a great place to eat. Good eats, and a funky place to hang out. I usually know some local eating there every time I eat there. Half the fun is pissing don off. Just order pork shoulder roast, that will get him going, as it is not roasted. Good people and good eats.”

- Great Texas bbq.
- Not much to complain about.
“I live in the area & when I want smoked bbq this is were I go. The pork ribs are excellent. The place is casual & the decor is old school, nick nacs could use dusting but otherwise no frills just great bbq. Don the owner is a unique character who used to resemble Willie Nelson till he cut his hair. If you like smoked meats this place beats the socks off the dive in north Salinas bar none.”

- Great taste, good price.
- Can't get them here in Portland, OR.
“I lived in the bay area most or my life and went to Monterey frequently and always stopped at the giant Artichoke. They have the best Artichokes anywhere and I wish I could get some here in Portland. People here don't know what a good Artichoke should look like and how it should taste.”
