“Looking for the best garlic fries in town? You'll see the difference local makes at Cafe Violette in Capitola Village. The food menu varied, family friendly and affordable. Many of the dishes and sauces are made in-house from scratch, including the falafel and hummus. The burgers were huge and satisfying.”

• Incredible vegetarian/vegan.
• Can be a little bland.

“If you are a vegetarian or vegan than Dharma's is the place for you to eat. They serve no meat and have lots of vegan selections. Very family friendly complete with toys for the kids to play with. You receive your food on a tray and cleaning your space afterwards is expected. Servings are beyond generous, you will have leftovers! Food is excellent with an eclectic blend of everything from Mexican, American, Asian and Italian. Not terribly romantic but for a casual place there is privacy available.”

• Excellent little cafe for American favorites, gyros, falafels & 45 flavors of the best locally made ice cream in town...
• Not many inside seats.

“Excellent little cafe for American favorites - hamburgers, hotdogs, and sandwiches. They also serve gyros, falafels & over 45 flavors of the best locally made ice cream in town. They are very family friendly and prices are just right. The best in the village for those on a budget.”

• I enjoy going and the yogurt is wonderful. The owners are amazing and very friendly.
• Wish they had the butterball flavor everyday!

“The yogurt is great and the prices are amazing. Every time I go in the service and fast and friendly. However I was disappointed for the first time in years when I went in and one of the girls that was working was in the back and did not come out to help for several minutes even though she knew I was there. She was on her cell phone ignoring the fact that I was waiting. I have seen her there before and never have I had that type of service from her or any other employee there. I am not one to complain or suggest one person over another but I have to say that if you visit, try to get the lovely young lady with the blonder hair. She's very nice and very customer oriented. You wont be disappointed.”

• Very friendly staff.
• Umm, it's a little messy...maybe they need a busboy or two.

“Really great coffee shop, very cozy at night when they have live music. Just about everyone in there had laptops so it's a good place for business people or for the computer lovers who like a friendly atmosphere. Fresh coffee, pastries and fast service. You can stay in the shop or walk down to the beach and watch the waves!”
