• Fairly good quality ingredients.
• Service is hit and miss.

“The food is usually good but they can miss once in a while. The waitress messed up out order but it got straightened out the second time around. A bit on the pricey side for what you get.”

• Service, nice valets.
• Atmosphere. Stuffy and can't get any more conservative.

“Eek. A throwback to the 50s with mounted deer on the walls and shirt-collar-over-the-jacket, martini guzzling clientele. Why would anyone under 90 go there? Plus the food is at best average. And expensive.”

• Bartenders are always cheerful and personable.
• not acceptable I was dismissed as just a annoying customer @ waitress station.

“Waitress took extra long to come and take our order. Restaurant was not busy. I ordered a Greek salad. Cucumber was spoiled, so I set it aside. I was surprised when waitress said chef or help does not taste ingredients they serve in dishes. She seemed putting out because I told her to please go to the kitchen and ask chef to taste cucumber that was being served. When she returned she explained he was too busy. Said, "sometimes food doesn't meet standards." She did not apologize or offer any discount, compensation or coupon for future visits. It was actually the first time I had a bad experience @ Marmalade in the Commons. I am hoping I can get a coupon or discount or free meal considering I gave important feedback. Otherwise typically sit at the bar and bartender is very courteous and accommodating. Thank you.”
