• Friendly people.
• Kiosk at the door probably belongs outside.

“Visited restaurant over Labor Day weekend and was really impressed with the menu and the food quality. The breakfast steak was a half inch lean rib eye cooked to order.”

• Everything.
• Nothing.

“While trailering from Santa Barbara, CA through AZ, CO & UT we made it a point to try the biscuits and gravy on all of our stop. We named it the Biscuit & Gravy Tour. K & L Corral was the best that I have had anywhere in the U.S., including the South. Everything else that we had was equally as good. It may be a 4 hour drive from my house but we plan on driving out there just to be able to have their scrumptious food again.”

• Albondigas soup is out of this world!
• That they don't can their soup!

“Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant on the planet. It had been 16 years since I had last dined at Domingo's restaurant in Boron, and it was even better than I remembered it. My girlfriend fell in love with the Albondigas soup (Mexican meatball soup) and I have to say that it was the best Albondigas soup I have ever had! All the food is great and the atmosphere of the place is fantastic. Take the main Boron exit and head downtown to find Domingo's. Be sure to check out the Boron Chamber of Commerce "Weather Station"!”

• A real American dining experience in the middle of nowhere.
• That I will probably never return there - how sad!

“We were on vacation April 2nd - driving from Las Vegas to the Sequoia National Park via Barstow and Bakersfield. Feeling hungry we left the main highway at Boron. The place looked grim - kind of like a ghost town but in the clean and well-presented K&L Corral Family Restaurant we found a circular table set and waiting just for us. I went for the dish of the day - Pinto beans with boiled ham and a side salad with cornbread. My wife and children went for traditional American burgers and fries. The food was excellent. The value was unbeatable and the staff were friendly and efficient. Returning to the UK, I wish I had spent more time in Boron. I would have visited this first rate establishment every day. Thank you K&L! To me - the real American dining experience!”
