• Leaving the place.
• The manger was rude. Yelled. The waitresses were disorganized.

“We were hungry and wanted to go to a nice and comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a relaxing dinner. It was far from that. We had two people go ahead of our party of seven to reserve a table so we could get seated faster. They arrived at 5:45 and we arrived around 6:00. After twenty minutes of waiting to be seated we asked how much longer. The brilliant waitress then asked waiting for what. We replied to be seated. She looked at us bewildering and replied shortly. We finally got seated at 6:15. We asked questions about the menu to the waitress and was answered that she was unsure. We quickly ordered our food, bread sticks and a salad bar. After waiting about thirty minutes we asked how much longer for our food to arrive. The employee responded oh it will be right out. My five year old daughter was starving and I started appearing around the restaurant to look at the other customers. It was semi busy. With about 80 percent of the table taken. I waited another 10 minutes and asked again someone about the food. Oh I will check that order for you. After another ten minutes we asked again about the food and she responded I will check on it. We asked for at least the bread sticks or my daughters meal. After waiting another ten minutes and noticed that two young men who came in later than us had gotten their food and eating, and my poor daughter hadn't received anything I finally had enough. I had not received my food nor an answer to my question of how much longer the food was going to be. We decided that after more than an hour we had had enough we got up to leave. A lady came up to us while we were getting our coats and asked what the problem was. I replied well we have been waiting for more than an hour and had yet not received our food and that we were leaving her response well I will have to charge you for the drinks that you had. My fiancee met her at the register and paid. I was stating that I would like to speak to the manager about this problem and she said she was the manager. I was in shock. She wanted us to pay for drinks when we had been waiting for more than an hour for our food. I told her that she was the worst manager I had ever seen and she replied well you are the worst customer. Can you believe that. I said you are suppose to make the customer happy and we are not. We are hungry and we waited a long time. And she replied well you aren't going to get your food now that you are leaving. I couldn't believe that. She was yelling at me. I walked out of there so upset. I work in a restaurant so I know what it is like for it to be busy. But you are suppose to make the customer happy. The manager was yelling at me in front of the other people as well. If they would have just given me a response or tried to make us a little happier for the delay that would have been one thing. But instead she just yelled and belittled me. Do not go. It is not worth it.”

• Service was good, friendly, nicely decorated western motif.
• Food was terrible, even meat was bad, badly prepared, just a waste of money.

“Visited weekend 12/06/08. Food was terrible. My son's ribs dry, tasteless without BBQ sauce. I ordered combo ribs and steak, steak dry, tasteless. The prime rib was awful, overdone, also dry. Only my daughters burger with chili was okay. Save your money. Don't go there. Big Bear has better.”

• Very rude waitress and assistant.

“This place has horrible service. The waitress cannot tell the difference between medium rare and medium claiming. The lighting in kitchen is different than patio area! When we made the inquiry, she was extremely rude! Asking for a manager was a waste of time. Because when check was brought out the discourteous waitress informed us at that moment that she was the manager. She and her assistant would come to the table with major attitudes! We were a party of 9. She knew she was getting gratuity instantly so they didn't care. If you want to save yourself some frustration. Go somewhere else!”

“Celebrated my husband's 53rd birthday at Evergreen. The presentation of food is remarkable. We had wonderful service, and the food was excellent. We highly recommend.”

• Terrific food, great atmosphere.
• Very slow service.

“The evergreen restaurant has fabulous food, however does not seem to be able to handle large medium or small crowd gatherings. It is not recommended for wedding receptions as there is a huge lack of consideration for the parties directions as to how the wedding plans are carried out verbatim. ”
